Plane Crash In Burleson Kills Pilot

(Burleson, TX) — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the deadly crash of an experimental plane in Burleson over the weekend.

The Sonex aircraft was on approach to Spinks Airport on Saturday afternoon when it crashed into the back parking lot of a business on East Renfro Street. The pilot was the only person onboard and died while somebody who was trying to help, got injured.

Family members have identified him as 85-year-old Earl Kirkpatrick.
