(San Antonio, TX) —  Education experts say the large-scale cheating scandal at Texas A&M is part of a trend that started when classes were moved online.

Camilla Roberts with the International Center for Academic Integrity says students across the country have been taking advantage of the flaws in virtual learning.  She says the trend is likely driving academics away from high-stakes testing.

Instead, students in the future will likely see quizzes more often, or tests that involve writing, which make it harder for students to cheat.
