Abbott To Be Vaccinated Today

(Austin, TX) — Gov. Greg Abbott will receive the coronavirus vaccine in Austin today.

Abbott announced Monday that he will be vaccinated at Ascension Seton Medical Center with news cameras in attendance. The governor’s promotion of the vaccine is meant to help state officials persuade enough Texans to get the shots themselves.

Scientists say at least 75-percent of a population must be vaccinated to accomplish herd immunity from the virus.
