(Johnson County, Tx) – A Godley man wanted for murder and aggravated assault of a public servant was arrested after a days-long manhunt.

Fort Worth police arrested 30-year-old Daryl Ray Johnson, late Wednesday night.  According to the Weatherford Democrat, this all started early Tuesday morning when Johnson County authorities got a call about a possible body in a travel trailer on County Road 805.  No body was found at the time, but Investigators say there was evidence of a violent crime having taken place. Investigators learned Johnson had been staying in the trailer and had possibly assaulted or murdered a 26-year-old male companion.

Later that morning, Johnson was spotted driving on I-20 at Crown Lane in Parker County.  He sped off from officers and a short time later, the car was found ditched in the parking lot of a Hudson Oaks grocery store.  Deputies found blood in the trunk and the victim’s cell phone.  The victim’s body was found later that day dumped on McDaniel Road near Cresson.

No word yet on where Johnson was apprehended.  He is currently in the Johnson County Jail with bail set at $1.5 million.
