(Fort Worth, TX) —  So far five potential candidates are expressing an interest in a possible run for the Fort Worth mayor’s office.

Mayor Betsy Price, the city’s longest-serving mayor, announced Tuesday she won’t seek a sixth two-year term.  Tarrant County Democratic Chair Deborah Peoples says she plans to run again.  City Council members Ann Zadeh and Brian Byrd are interested.  Also thinking about it are state Democratic Rep. Ramon Romero and attorney Dee Kelly Junior.

The filing deadline is next month, the election is in May, and a runoff may result.
