Fort Worth FD Rescues Woman From Burning Home

(Fort Worth, TX) — An elderly woman is in critical condition after firefighters pulled her from her burning home in Fort Worth on Wednesday morning.

The fire department responded shortly after 7 a.m. to the house fire on Winnie Street near East Loop 820. Firefighters entered the home and pulled a woman in her 70s from inside. Relatives say her husband had left for work at the time.

Arson investigators and crews from Atmos Energy are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
