(Arlington, TX) — There is new evidence in the Amber Hagerman case from 1996.
Arlington police said Wednesday the evidence may help them create a DNA profile of her killer. The nine-year-old vanished 25 years ago while out riding her bike and her body was discovered almost a week later.
The girl’s mother told reporters at a press conference held on the anniversary, that she hoped Hagerman’s killer would turn himself in to give the family justice. The AMBER Alert notification system was created here in North Texas after her death, but eventually became a worldwide standard for law enforcement.
