(Stephenville, Tx) – The Stephenville City Council has paved the way for an upcoming municipal election for residents to decide the fate of five bond proposals.
According to the Stephenville Empire Tribune, Proposition A calls for a combined use facility at a cost of $8 million to include the senior citizens center, city recreation center and city library into one new facility. Prop B is a Historic Downtown Revitalization project with a nearly $5.4 million price tag.
Prop E includes $2 million for the next phase of the Bosque River Trail, a walking, hiking and biking trail that runs along the north bank of the Bosque River in Stephenville.
Two other propositions totaling nearly $6 million are for street improvements.
The city voted to put the measure before voters on May 1st.
