Fort Worth Deals With 600+ Water Main Breaks

(Fort Worth, TX) — Fort Worth is working to fix hundreds of water main breaks.

As of Monday, 611 had been confirmed since Valentine’s Day, and more reports are still coming in. The city’s aging cast iron water mains don’t handle water temperatures in the low 40s very well. As a result, many Fort Worth residents still don’t have water.

After last week’s winter storm, hundreds of thousands of the city’s residents were under a boil-water notice when they didn’t have any water.
