TX Wholesale Energy Provider Accused Of Price Gouging For Bills

(Houston, TX) — A Texas wholesale energy provider is being accused of price gouging for massive energy bills after last week’s winter storms.

The class action lawsuit was filed against Griddy yesterday by a Houston attorney. Lawyer Derek Potts expects the suit to involve thousands of Griddy customers who saw their bills jump due to variable energy rates.

Natural gas companies reported record profits last week when demand rose during the storms and frigid cold temperatures.
