(Fort Worth, TX) — A North Texas man is reunited with thousands of dollars after a chunk of cash was accidentally donated to a local Goodwill.
Goodwill Fort Worth officials said a man told them his wife donated one of his jackets, that contained an envelope with five grand in it. In Goodwill’s YouTube, store manager Rhonda Davis said they get up to 200 donations a day so they had to search through every bag to find it.
After days of searching, employee Maqayla DeLaPena was able to find the envelope. DeLaPena received a bonus and a Goodwill Medal of Integrity for her find.
