(Fort Worth, TX) — Tarrant County is having trouble meeting the demand for coronavirus vaccinations now that all Texans 50 years old are eligible for the vaccine.

The expanded age eligibility started on Monday, and up 50,000 more people now eligible under Phase 1C are on Tarrant County’s waitlist.  County officials started contacting newly qualified people on Monday, but they say none of it will matter until they can get more doses.

Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley says he wishes state officials would open up eligibility for everybody.
