Federal Agents In Texas Break Up Facebook Scam

(Dallas, TX) — That Nigerian prince who’s been sending you emails has moved on to snail mail.

Customs agents at DFW International Airport intercepted a stack of large envelopes from Nigeria, announcing winners of a fake Facebook lottery. They all contained Bank of America ATM cards. The winners were told to pay the government taxes to activate the cards, which agents say were on their way to elderly people in Texas.

Customs agents have contacted the targeted individuals to let them know what was going on.
