(Weatherford, Tx) – The Weatherford Democrat reports Aubrey Sims was officially approved Monday night by Weatherford ISD trustees as the next head football coach and athletic director.

Sims comes to Weatherford after 7 year stint as the head football coach in Iowa Park where his teams advanced to the playoffs each season, went to the state quarterfinals twice, and reached the state semifinals in 2019.  Sims has also served as head coach in Grandview and Snyder.

ims replaces Billy Mathis, who took a job with Parker county neighbor Brock earlier this year.
