(Undated) — Next Thursday is the deadline to make sure you’re registered to vote in upcoming elections.
Texans will cast ballots in a number of local races on May 1st, electing mayors, deciding on school bonds and so forth. To register, you fill out an application, sign it, and either mail or drop it off at the office of your county’s voter registrar. Voters must live in the county where they register.
To be eligible, a voter must be a U.S. citizen at least 18-years-old on Election Day. Photo ID is required in Texas.
