(Aledo, TX) — Parents and students in the Aledo ISD are calling on district officials to do something about a couple of recent racist episodes.

About 200 people showed up for a school board meeting on Monday.  Last week, ninth-graders were found to have created a Snapchat group that pretended to auction off black classmates as slaves.  District officials say the students involved have been disciplined.

On Monday, hundreds of flyers advertising a fake slave auction were scattered along roads near Aledo High School.  The district says it’s investigating.
