(Washington, DC) — Families hoping for a summer vacation at sea can start planning.
The CDC is taking action to help cruise ships set sail again. By July, they can skip simulated voyages and hit the open water if they meet certain requirements. That includes confirming 98-percent of crew and 95-percent of passengers are fully vaccinated against coronavirus.
The CDC says it will respond to applications within five days, instead of the estimated 60 days.
