(Arlington, TX) — The widow of late Congressman Ron Wright is headed for a runoff election for her late husband’s seat.
Susan Wright is leading in the vote tally for Texas’s sixth district House seat. But because she will not receive more than 50% of the vote, the election will head to a runoff. She will face GOP statehouse member Jake Ellzey. Ron Wright died in February after a battle with coronavirus.
The date for the runoff has not been set. The 6th district includes Southeast Tarrant County, Ellis and Navarro Counties.
