(Weatherford, TX)  —  Residents of Parker County are cleaning up after high water affected the area on Monday.

At the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, the parking lot and parts of the building took on water.  The storm flooded a hallway and the county’s server room, where the emergency phone system is housed.  There were brief troubles with the phone lines, but 911 service wasn’t affected.

Emergency personnel rescued three families from their homes because of rising water.

There were also several major traffic accidents around the county.
