(Austin, TX) — A bill allowing Texans to carry handguns without a license is on its way to Governor Greg Abbott’s desk.
Texas lawmakers have passed the bill, and Abbott says he’ll sign it. Until then, Texas requires training, a written test, and fingerprinting to get a license to carry a handgun.
Gun rights advocates pushed the change to the state’s gun laws, claiming the licensing process infringed on Second Amendment rights.
