(Austin, TX) — Snakes are slithering out into the open as the summer months bring the heat to Texas.
Experts say Copperheads are the snake Texans are most likely to encounter. The Southern copperhead can grow to more than two feet long and is found mainly in eastern Texas.
Texas Parks and Wildlife says anyone bitten by a venomous snake should immediately seek medical attention.
