(Fort Worth, TX) — A Fort Worth man is getting probation after admitting to animal cruelty.
Lewis Wilson received the seven-year probation sentence today for abusing a pit bull puppy for a few months in 2019. Tarrant County prosecutors say it made sense to agree to the plea deal because of a major backlog in cases due to the pandemic. Wilson will get seven years in prison if he violates terms of his probation.
The dog is now healthy, happy and living with an adoptive family.
