(Fort Worth, TX) — Driverless big rigs are reportedly coming soon to the freeway corridor between Fort Worth and Houston.

Waymo is a self-driving tech company setting up operations in DFW.  The company announced it plans to start testing autonomous big rigs on the freight corridor connecting North Texas and the Gulf Coast.  Waymo sees the area as a good testing ground because of its open roads, decent weather, established logistics hub, and supportive lawmakers.

For the time being, each driverless truck will have somebody riding in the cab.
