(Austin, TX)  —  It’s been a “ruff,” 24-hours for Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

Abbott was the nation’s top trending topic on Twitter with the hashtag “AbbottHatesDogs,” after he vetoed Senate Bill 474.  The Bill would have made it a Class C misdemeanor if someone knowingly left a restrained dog outside while unattended.

His reason for vetoing the bill is that it would micro-manage dog owners.
