Tarrant County ME: Man Died From Heat Stroke

(Fort Worth, TX) —  A Tarrant County man is dead from heat stroke.

The ME says Jay Jackson was discovered unresponsive last week then passed away at the hospital.  The 60-year-old’s death has been called an accident.  Temperatures last week were in the 90s but Heat Indexes hit over 100.

Heat stroke is when a person isn’t able to cool down after being out in the heat for too long.  Symptoms includes increased body temperature, confusion, throwing up, and hot and flushed skin.
