Outgoing TX GOP Chair Allen West Running For Governor

(Carrollton, TX) — Outgoing Texas Republican Party Chair Allen West is running for governor.

West announced the run yesterday saying he was going to defend the Texas republic. He’s promising to protect Texans from the “insidious ideological agenda of the left,” illegal immigrants, and Critical Race Theory. West is also vowing to protect the U.S. Constitution and keep Texas a “beacon of liberty.” He hinted at the run last month when he announced his resignation as state GOP chair.

Incumbent Republican Governor Greg Abbott is running for re-election. Former Dallas state Senator Don Huffines is also running in the GOP primary.
