Parker County Man Arrested For Neglecting His Dogs

(Weatherford, TX) — A Parker County man is out on bond after his arrest last Friday for abusing and neglecting two dogs.

Animal control officers had already issued 30-year-old Ruben Wilson a warning last month after finding the two German shorthaired pointers lacking food, water, shelter, and medical care. They checked again on July 4th and reportedly found Wilson had done nothing to correct the situation. The dogs were left in 95 degree heat with no water.

Wilson was arrested on a charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals.

The dogs are reportedly responding well to medical treatment.
