Man Accused Of Construction Scam Arrested At DFW Airport

(Dallas, TX) — A man is facing charges after being arrested at DFW Airport while trying to board a flight to Mexico.

37 year old Richard Wortham of Heath, was about to board a flight to Cancun, when he was taken into custody. A warrant out of Parker County was issued last month for Wortham, who owns Seventy 18 Construction, LLC.

According to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, Wortham is accused of taking money for construction jobs all over North Texas, that he never completed using non-existing construction company names. He has since been released from the Parker County jail on $30,000 bond.
