(Fort Worth, TX)  —  Fort Worth ISD is now requiring masks for all students, teachers, staff, and visitors to campuses across the district.

The decision was made at last night’s meeting of the school board as cases of COVID-19 continue to climb across the area, the state, and beyond.  The board’s move comes after just recently Superintendent Kent Scribner noted he would follow the governor’s executive order banning mask mandates, and only “strongly suggest” masks be worn.

Scribner tells the local media he had a change of heart after receiving a letter signed by more than 100 physicians at Cook Children’s Hospital urging a mandate.
