(Grand Prairie, TX) — After more than a week, a cobra reported missing from a Grand Prairie home still hasn’t been found.

A spokesman for Dallas Fort Worth Wildlife says nobody has spotted the West African banded cobra.  The venomous snake has been missing from a home on Cherry Street since August 3rd.  Police say the owner has a Texas Parks and Wildlife permit to own the snake.

Twenty traps have been set near the house, but the snake may longer be in the area.  Police advise people to leave the dangerous snake alone if they see it.
