(Springtown, Tx) – Parker County Investigators are looking for a man in connection with a murder earlier this month near Springtown.
On the afternoon of Aug. 7th, Deputies responded to a house on Midway Road, where they found the body of a woman in the front yard. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the woman’s cause of death as a homicide by gunshot wound to the chest. Her identity has not yet released.
The suspect, however, has been identified as 73-year-old Clayton Ray Strong of Parker County. Investigators say they traced Strong to South Texas where he was caught on video getting rid of a gun. The Sheriff’s office says Strong’s whereabouts are unknown and he may have fled the state.
He’s believed to be driving a 1996 primer gray extended cab Chevrolet pickup with a paper Texas buyer’s tag. Strong is 5-feet 6 inches tall, weighing 200-pounds and having silver/white hair, with a mustache and glasses. Anyone who knows the location of Strong is advised to contact the Parker County Sheriff’s Office
