(Fort Worth, TX)  —  The Fort Worth Zoo plans to release more than 200 Texas horned lizards into the wild today.

The critters also known as “horny toads” will be set loose in Llano, northwest of Austin.   The zoo is outfitting the reptiles with devices that will enable the zoo to keep track of their movements in the wild.

The idea is to monitor the growth of the threatened population.
