AAA Texas: Statewide Gas Price Drops From Last Week

(Undated) — The Triple-A Texas Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Texas is $2.81 a gallon for regular unleaded.

That price is down one-cent from a week ago and is 95-cents higher than a year ago. The national average is $3.19. The back-to-back impacts of Hurricanes Ida and Nicholas affected crude production and refinery but caused more of a price fluctuation nationally than in Texas.

The average price at the pump in North Texas is $2.81.
