North TX Pediatricians Welcome News About Pfizer Vax For Kids

(Dallas, TX) — Pediatricians across North Texas are welcoming Pfizer’s announcement that its coronavirus vaccine is safe and effective for children ages five through 11.

The Pfizer vaccine is already available to people age 12 and up. One North Texas pediatrician says with kids now back in the classroom, school-aged children need to be protected. She says more than 125-thousand students in Texas have tested positive since the school year started.

For younger children, the Pfizer vaccine uses only a third of the dosage in regular shots.
