(Stephenville, Tx) – Robert Isbell, who has been the Round Rock Fire Department chief for about five years, will leave that department to become the new Stephenville Fire Chief.

According to the Stephenville Empire Tribune, Isbell as more than ’30 years of experience in municipal fire service.  Prior to serving the city of Round Rock, Isbell has been the fire chief in Midland, Euless and Southlake. He began his firefighting career here in North Texas in Mansfield in 1985.

Isbell takes over the Stephenville job Oct. 1^st.  He replaces former SFD Chief Jimmy Chew, who retired in July after 50 years of service.
