(Undated) — SMU and TCU are trading barbs ahead of this Saturday’s Battle for the Iron Skillet.

Mustangs’ wide receiver Rashee Rice says the Horned Frogs were too scared to face SMU last season.  TCU Head Coach Gary Patterson disagrees with Rice saying last year’s cancellation was due to a COVID outbreak.  He also says TCU tried to play SMU later in the year but “didn’t get any phone calls back.”  Saturday’s game will be the 100th edition of the Iron Skillet game.

Also going on this weekend in North Texas at AT&T Stadium, fifth ranked Texas A&M takes on #18 Arkansas at 2:30p.
