Kessler Theater Owner Trying To Buy Longhorn Ballroom

(Dallas, TX) — Kessler Theater owner Edwin Cabaniss wants to buy Dallas’ famed Longhorn Ballroom.

Cabaniss tells The Dallas Morning News there is a contract to buy the building near downtown, but the sale is pending. He wants to turn the Longhorn into a state-of-the art concert venue saying it’s Texas’ most historic music venue.

The Longhorn has held concerts for Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Ray Charles, and James Brown. It was also home to one of the final concerts ever from punk legends the Sex Pistols.
