Accused Fort Worth Killer Murdered NM Woman In AZ

(Fort Worth, TX) — The North Texas man accused of killing four people is also connected to missing New Mexico woman.

A Fort Worth police arrest warrant says Jason Thornburg confessed to murdering the woman in Arizona. Police declined to ID her, but her family told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram her name is Tanya Begay. Her sister told Navajo Times in 2019 that Thornburg was abusive, but Begay refused to report it.

Thornburg was arrested earlier this week after North Texas investigators say he put the bodies of three people in a Dumpster last Thursday. He’s also accused of killing his Fort Worth roommate back in May.
