(Dallas, TX) — The state is developing a new state park in North Texas for the first time in nearly 20-years.
Palo Pinto Mountains State Park will be a five-thousand-acre park halfway between Fort Worth and Abilene in Palo Pinto County. The park will offer hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing and camping among peaks of up to 14-hundred feet. Park roads and a visitor’s center are already being built.
Palo Pinto Mountains State Park is scheduled to open in 2023.
