(Fort Worth, TX) — A fire at a Fort Worth ISD elementary school on Saturday night is ruled an arson, and police have detained a person of interest.

The fire at Atwood-McDonald Elementary School was apparently started by somebody who broke into the school.  A Fort Worth ISD security team member who was monitoring the security cameras saw someone break in and called the police.  Officers were on their way to the scene when the fire started.

Cleanup is underway at the school, which suffered some smoke damage.
