American Airlines Requires COVID Vax For Employees

(Fort Worth, TX) – Fort Worth based American Airlines is the latest big carrier to require employees to get COVID-19 shots.

Chairman and CEO Doug Parker spelled out the requirement in a letter to employees on Friday. He explained the policy is due to the company’s involvement in government contracts and work with the Civil Reserve Air Fleet program. Several other airlines including United, JetBlue and Alaska Airlines are already requiring their employees to get vaccinated.

American did not give a timeline for employees to roll up their sleeves.
