Abbott Praises Third Special Session Results

(Austin, TX) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott is happy with the results of the third Special Session.

Abbott says the Texas House and Senate delivered on priorities by providing property tax relief, redistricting, and COVID recovery funding. He also thanked them for protecting Texas high school sports through a transgender athlete ban, helping higher education, and protecting dogs from cruelty and abuse.

Abbott did not say if a fourth Special Session would happen, although Lt Gov Dan Patrick has called for one publicly on social media.
