(Fort Worth, TX) — Fort Worth police are investigating after an 11-year-old boy was killed on Tuesday when he and two other kids tried to cross Loop 820 on foot.
A vehicle hit the boy shortly before 6 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers say they believe the other two children escaped injury as they tried to cross the six-lane freeway near the Camp Bowie West exit in Southwest Fort Worth.
The driver stopped at the scene and police say it’s not likely he will face charges.
