(Fort Worth, TX) — American Airlines is still playing catchup after canceling more than 300 flights on Monday.
That’s about 10% of the Fort Worth-based carrier’s usual schedule. Over the weekend, American canceled thousands of flights, including two-thousand on Sunday. American insists the problem started with high winds in North Texas last Thursday, triggering flight cancellations on Friday that worsened through the weekend. Thousands of passengers across the nation were stranded.
Only 94 American Airlines flights had been cancelled as of early this morning, according to tracking site FlightAware.
