Delta-8 Legal In Texas, Judge Rules

(Austin, TX) — The state is expected to appeal a judge’s ruling that a popular cannabis product is legal in Texas.

Delta-8 is a THC compound derived from the hemp plant and is similar to the psychoactive compound in marijuana. The state of Texas recently banned the product, but a Travis County judge ruled on Monday that it can go back on store shelves for now.

The judge agreed with companies selling Delta-8 who said the state banned the product without warning.
