(Houston) — Texas is creating a task force on concert safety after the Astroworld tragedy.

The statewide task force will look for ways to strengthen security at Texas concerts following the deaths of now ten people during Travis Scott’s performance.  The state historically has had little control over the management of large events like Astroworld.

The task force will be led by Texas Music Office Director Anthony Brendon.  Members will include safety consultants, music industry experts and law enforcement officials.
