(Dallas, TX) — Governor Greg Abbott is guaranteeing that the lights will stay on in Texas this winter.
This promise follows a near collapse of the state’s electrical system last February that affected more than four million customers. Abbott said that he was ‘very confident’ after signing nearly a dozen laws to make the power grid more effective.
Power generators across the state must notify the Public Utility Commission about winter weatherization plans by December 1st. Inspections are set to begin in January.
