Ex-DFW News Anchor Sues Dallas Catholic Diocese

(Dallas, TX) — A former North Texas TV news anchor is suing the Catholic Diocese of Dallas claiming he was abused as a child.

Brendan Higgins tells The Dallas Morning News the Reverend Patrick Koch exposed himself and inappropriately touched Higgins inside a New Orleans hotel room when Higgins was a teenager. Koch’s name was on a list of priests the Dallas and Corpus Christi dioceses credibly accused of sex abuse. Koch died in 2006.

Eight other people are also involved in the suit against Jesuit Prep and the Diocese.

Higgins was a longtime reporter/anchor at NBC 5 before spending two years at KTVT Ch 11 from 2012-2014.
