TX Mother, Son Found Safe After Kidnapping

(Lufkin, TX) — An East Texas mother and son are safe after an apparent kidnapping.

Lufkin police say Brandi and Jordan Davis were able to get away from her boyfriend after he stopped for gas in Dallas. James Cruse is accused of abducting the pair on Thursday and critically injuring the woman’s 17-year-old son.

Police believe Cruse is at large in the North Texas area. He’s a 35-year-old Black man, five-nine, 189 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He also has neck tattoos and is considered armed and dangerous.
