‘Rick Perry’ Is On Texas Ballot As GOP Candidate For Governor

(Springtown, TX)  —  Rick Perry is running for governor of Texas, but not the Rick Perry who’s already held the job.

The Rick Perry on the ballot for the 2022 primary is a Lockheed Martin employee from Springtown in Parker County.  When Ricky Lynn Perry filed to run, he listed “Rick Perry” as the name that he wants on the ballot.

The Republican Party of Texas showed him on its updated list of candidate filings Monday, and confirmed that he’s not the Rick Perry who was once the governor and U.S. energy secretary.
